Finally, our 11th post! Appropriately enough, its a special one. This update has been developing on the last one's legacy: getting 11tyCMS ready for early beta launch. It's involved adding a bunch of new features, vastly improving accessibility and ensuring that most 11ty sites are supported out the box. These are all crucial features I want finished before release, and we're now well on track. Let's dive in!

It's been a busy week for 11tyCMS. SO much has changed under the hood. My goal has been to refactor the code base to make things as easy as possible to work with. At the moment (until we go FOSS!), my illnesses and disabilities have gotten worse. So making this as easy to work with is vital: It will allow me to make updates with lower energy and it'll make it easier to onboard new contributors.

So in late September, we appeared on THE Eleventy Meetup. It was fantastic talking with Sia and getting to present alongside the fabulous Alex and his Silex project. Alex and I rehearsed online together before the meetup, and we both were very impressed with each other's projects and wanted to collaborate in the future! We've discussed potentially working on integration of 11tyCMS and Silex at some point in our roadmaps. Very exciting stuff indeed. Do give Silex a look, its a very cool project with heaps of potential!
